Teaching with a Difference Howard Gardner first proposed the concept of multiple intelligences in his book Frames of Mind published in 1983. Educators have since come to accept nine areas of human intelligence. It is believed that everyone possesses each of these nine areas of intelligence to various degrees. So, each child will have different areas that they are strongest and weakest. However, through carefully planned exposure and practice all areas can be improved. Thus, it is important that a child be exposed to all nine areas early and often. That is why our well-planned curriculum is designed to develop all nice areas of intelligence so that each child has the opportunity to acquire proficiency in each area.
