About The Job

  • Register guests and assigns rooms. Accommodate special requests whenever possible. 
  • Assist in preregistration and blocking of rooms for reservations. 
  • Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures. 
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel. 
  • Know the location and types of available rooms as well as the activities and services of the property. 
  • Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department by notification housekeeping of all check outs, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, and day use rooms. 
  • Possess a working knowledge of the reservations department. 
  • Maintain guest room key storage, and maintain and supervises access to safe deposit boxes. File room keys ( only for manual room key hotels). 
  • Performing cashier related functions like posting charges to guest accounts, raising paid out's, currency exchange. 
  • Work closely with the housekeeping department in the keeping room status, ensure reports are up to date and coordinate requests for maintenance and repair work. 
  • Perform cashiering tasks like bill/invoice settlement, posting charges to the guest, paid out's, foreign currency exchange, etc. 
  • Use proper mail, package, and message handling procedures, courier mail registration. 
  • Read and initials the pass-on log and bulletin board daily. 
  • Be aware of daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel. 
  • Know all safety and emergency procedures, be aware of accident prevention policies. 
  • Understand that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift to other shifts.

Job Requirements

  1. The candidate must be able to speak Malay & English. 
  2. We accept fresh graduates who does not have experience in hotel management to be part of our family! 
  3. Interns are also welcome and will be paid accordingly. 
  4. For non-Malaysians, you are required to have your own working visa and supporting documents before applying.  
  5. The salary stated above are negotiable.
  6. Use proper telephone etiquette.
