You will work directly and closely with our Associate Director, Collin Swee, who has more than 20 years experience as an entrepreneur, on setting the HR strategy, and executing it. This can be an exciting role! Together with the Management, you will build programs, processes, and policies, to support our team and help them thrive and achieve their potential. You will lend your expertise on all people-related matters, especially our blue-collar workers.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Leadership:
 
Identify, develop and implement key HR initiatives that will substantially enhance the success of our business, including:

  •  Recruiting and Onboarding: Managing the recruitment process, identifying and addressing talent requirements to onboarding new hires, always looking to further improve the candidate journey.
  • Training and Development: Work with managers and team leaders to identify training requirements and design development opportunities to enable all team members to grow in their roles and careers.
  • Employee Relations: Provide proactive employee relations to employees at various levels, including acting as a trusted HR advisor to management in order to build and maintain a high performing and engaged team. Gather, evaluate and transmit employee feedback (appraisals, reviews, surveys).
  •  HR Administration: Overseeing compensation management, annual leave tracking, administration of benefits, record keeping and maintenance of team member files and other related documents.
  •  Programs, Policies and Processes: Develop, administer and revise HR policies and programs based on a solid understanding of employment standards and laws.
  
Culture:

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve our team member experience. Assess current programs and propose innovative ways to improve existing ones.
  • Monitor and track team member engagement, developing ways to increase engagement if necessary.
  • Plan and organize with an internal committee, the company’s internal and team building events.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification.
  • 4-5 years HR Generalist or People Ops working experience in any industry with blue-collar workers such as manufacturing, engineering, plant or automotive.
  • Senior HR Executives and Assistant HR Managers looking to upscale their careers are encouraged to apply.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Malaysian Employment Law.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated influence and diplomacy at all levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, friendly and a great sense of humour!
  • Able to work in Port Klang.
  • Own transport.
