Job Description
UNDP is the United Nations' global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. UNDP Office in Malaysia was established in 1961 and we work closely with the Government and a range of stakeholders.
To support the country programme, we have vacancy for a Communications Associate to be based in Putrajaya and/or other duty station/s as determined by the Supervisor.
This challenging position will suit dynamic applicants who are self-motivated, with good communication skills (both oral and written), well-organised and able to work independently. S/He is also expected to have strong writing skills and is results oriented. The successful applicant will report to the Head of Sustainable and Resilient Development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree with minimum five (5) years of relevant experience at the national and/or international level;
- Knowledge of environment and disaster risk related issues in Malaysia is preferable;
- Working experience with private sector is an asset;
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advanced knowledge of presentation and graphic design software.
- Fluency in written and oral English and Bahasa Malaysia.
