About The Job

  • To support UM’s retail IDD and Roaming business, the role is responsible to secure competitive IDD voice termination cost and roaming commercial deals with global carriers through active and creative procurement and negotiations.
  • Assess the commercial viability of the deals by performing cost and quality benchmarking that will give UM the edge. Also be able to prepare efficient business cases for Roaming and Carriers deals.
  • Support the growth of wholesale hubbing business by constantly seeking to opportunities to trade to support the revenue and margin growth.
  • Develop strategic account plans and effectively manage plans for assigned accounts. Establish accurate plans and forecasts numbers; prioritize efforts; generate short-term results while holding a long-term perspective to achieve overall results.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within accounts & sales processes. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Manage commercial, business and strategic relations and service escalations with global partners, including Operators and resellers.
  • Own the selection, contracting and onboarding of competitive suppliers, working closely with Legal, Finance, Operations and Engineering.

Job Requirements

  • We are seeking individual that is able to work with numbers in a fast-paced job that demands accuracy and accountability  with minimal guidance - be an owner. 
  • You have more than 8 to 10 years of telecom experience, with sound knowledge of global telecom regulations and international carrier & roaming business.
  • Lead a culture of sales excellence; drive consistent implementation and adoption of sales processes, measurement of KPI’s and sales performance.
  • Be a highly collaborative team-player with the ability to manage, influence and achieve alignment across different interests.
  • You are a self starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Results-driven, high-performing, high-quality work attitude.
  • Good communicator and negotiation skills with demonstrated skills in relationship building and relationship management.
