Job Description

Reporting to a Sales Manager you will be responsible for driving delegate sales activity across your assigned Conference.  This includes ensuring individual show sales targets are achieved while establishing and maintaining existing client relationships, establish new ones and report on sales activity.
 
You will be able to demonstrate strong telephone sales capabilities.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Identify, pursue and close sales and sponsorship opportunities for the conference 
  • Research and identify potential new business opportunities 
  • Engage with Key Decision Makers within an organisation and close delegate sales tickets 
  • Internal stakeholder management to ensure you are across all aspects of the conference 
  • Ensure sales targets are met 
  • Maintain an accurate and detailed CRM reporting system 
  • Attend weekly sales meetings to discuss and review past and upcoming sales 
  • Attend industry and networking events 
  • Attendance and assistance on-site at assigned business forum 
  • General reporting activity 

Job Requirements

Skills and experience:
  • Previous B2B phone based sales experience 
  • Ability to close sales over the phone 
  • Ability to work in a CRM updating information 
  • Client relationship management skills 
  • MS Office – Word and Excel 
  • Ability to translate client requirements into sales 
  • High level communication skills – written and verbal 
  • Highly developed customer service skills 
  • Strong time management skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines 
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Ability to deal with people across all levels of an organisation 
  • Strong negotiation skills 
  • Strong problem solving skills with ability to make effective decisions 
  • Professional, polished and well presented
