This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your skills, experience and industry knowledge through the production and curation of business-to-business conferences. As Conference Producer, you are conducting market research, developing high quality agendas and recruiting industry leaders.
You will be supported by and collaborate with a team of sales, marketing, logistics, data and audience management professionals, as well as working alongside other conference producers with whom you can share ideas, discuss trends and identify best practices.
Our current portfolio of conferences includes real estate, finance, private equity, e-commerce and technology, and we will be rolling out new industries in the near future.
You will learn new industries and expand your skill set in areas of management, communications, technology tools and productivity.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Researching emerging trends and today’s hot topics
• Conducting interviews with company leaders and industry experts
• Writing & editing agendas and marketing materials including emails and website copy
• Recruiting high quality speakers, including industry leaders and topic experts
• Learning and comprehending market dynamics and industry structure
• Telling the story of the event to potential speakers, attendees, and sponsors
• Collaborating with event operations, sales, marketing and company management
• Reporting on effort and results on a regular basis
• Managing speakers on-site including on-the-spot problem solving
Job Requirements
Ideal Candidate:
• You have exceptional attention to detail, especially in all external communication
• You have the ability to speak with senior executives (C-level) with confidence and poise
• You have extraordinary speaking and writing skills, including errorless grammar & spelling, rapid and accurate typing skills, and professional phone manner
• You are a self-starter and work well independently without constant direction from management
• You are also a team player who is first to give others credit and works well with cross-functional teams
• You have the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree from a four year university at minimum, with a demonstrated record of academic excellence
