Job Description

TMG Holdings has newly established its confinement centre, Luna, which aims to open its doors in late December/early January. To complement Luna, TMG Holdings also has a central kitchen that will deliver nutritious culinary experiences to our guests. With a central kitchen at hand, we are looking for strong candidates who are passionate about the F&B industry and are able to deliver attractive and exquisitely plated dishes in a timely manner.

We are looking for someone who:

Is able to assist the Head Chef in cooking predominantly traditional oriental meals suitable for guests during their confinement period.
Is able to organise, control and direct food preparation processes in a timely manner and to approve of all dishes before serving them to guests.
Is detail oriented and an expert at food plating that enhances the value of our guests’ dining experiences.
Is passionate and interested in menu development and culinary trends.

Job Requirements

Preferably has had prior experience in preparing and handling oriental cuisine.
Possesses Food Hygiene certificates as well as a good knowledge of HACCP programs and adheres to SOPs in order to maintain good food handling and sanitation standards.
Is able to communicate in Mandarin (both in speech and writing). English and Malay are strong bonuses. Stated language requirements will be advantageous in performing job tasks.
Preparation, cooking and plating tests will take place during the recruitment process.
Candidates must be available to start training in October.
