Job Description

• Responsible for daily operations and continuity of internal servers, network and business application software as well as cloud hosted services.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Development, QA as well as Clients to ensure effective delivery of projects.
• Provide support to Clients remotely, and on-site if required both locally and abroad. Liaise closely with Project Management on issues and solutions.
• Periodically monitor system performance and suggest preventive maintenance to Clients. 
• Understanding technical challenges related to networking, scalability, virtualization, cloud and etc. 
• Systems troubleshooting for software and hardware with security management practices procedures.
• Knowledge in System/Infrastructure design, development methods and techniques.
• Deploy new infrastructure (server/backup) and perform various System Administration tasks on Windows, Linux & VMware. 
• Ability to write shell scripts to automate system administration and task maintenance when required. 
• Possess strong ownership attitude and with a track record of taking responsibility for problems that pushing through to resolution. 
• Possess a strong desire to learn and committed to teamwork. 
• To carry out any other duties and job functions as and when required by the Company or persons acting on behalf of the Company. 

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical /Electronic /Computer Engineering or equivalent with excellent academic results (both SPM and tertiary level). 
• Minimum 2 years of experience in deploying and administering Windows & Linux OS both on premise (VMware/virtualisation) and cloud (Amazon/Google). 
• Experience and knowledge in network, server, unix shell scripting and Windows PowerShell. 
• Familiar with implementing, manage/support web services stack especially Apache, NGINX, PHP and SQL database.
• Possess excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and problem solving skills. 
• Self-motivated, fast learner that able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines. 
• Ability to analyse and interpret technical procedures, write reports and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and partners. 
• Experience in either macOS, iOS, SAN, WAN, VoIP/SIP, JIRA, GitLab, MongoDB would be an advantage.
