Job Description

  • Manage kitchen operations in accordance with the company's set of standards
  • Supervise and provide guidance to other chefs
  • Oversee preparation of food and beverage items
  • Responsible in planning, executing, controlling, coordinating, training and participating in the daily activities of food preparation 
  • Maintain consistency and quality in food taste in line with recipes made available by management 
  • Correctly use, clean, maintain all equipment within the food production area 
  • Maintain safe and hygienic work practices and conditions at all times 
  • Identify the development needs of kitchen staffs and provide coaching, mentoring and help them to improve their knowledge and skills 
  • Contribute ideas to improve and update the menu 
  • Work closely with kitchen staffs to ensure a food communication and smooth operation

Job Requirements

  1. Strong in Malay food (e.g. sauces and curries)
  2. Experienced in mall kitchen setup
  3. Good plating skills
  4. Very detailed and systematic/efficient
  5. Very passionate in quality food rather than variety

The Recipetwist Group was established in 2006 at a tiny 100sqft food court kiosk. Fast forward, we now own two stand-alone restaurants in campus (The Lunch Box) serving over 1000 people per day.

Our mission is to elevate the image of Nasi Lemak and put it on the world map with Thai, Indian and Chinese food. 

To make this happen, we have decide to put more focus on the creation of a perfect plate of satisfying Nasi Lemak, hence, a small menu that can bring out the best in every dish we serve. As the saying goes, "do one thing and make it the best". With less to worry about, we can also bring out the best in our team. Our goal is for everyone involved with NALE to be happy and fulfilled.

Food aside, we also aim to provide the most complete Nasi Lemak experience to our customer through outstanding hospitality. Something not commonly found in Malaysia. We have decided to adopt the Danny Meyer way of hospitality. His famous quotes are as below:
