Job Description

• Design and write in the Laravel framework to improve availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of the services owned by the Sugarbook team.
• Lead a team of developers (on-site & remote) in building and scaling back-end services as well as performing root-cause analysis investigations.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
• Provide regular and effective progress updates and manage day-to-day communication between product owner and tech team.
• Work closely with product and experience teams to implement products, test their impact to business metrics & propose solutions to achieve them.
• Collaborate with the customer success team to identify & anticipate potential product issues, and lead the tech team on eliminating bugs.
• Engage in capacity and demand planning, performance analysis, tuning and optimization, to ensure high production uptime.
• Debug and modify complex, production software.
• Develop beautiful front-end based on UI/UX design & specifications.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience - preferably with at least 4 years of relevant experience - with strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Have a wide knowledge on production NGINX & PHP FPM server performance tuning, load management, scaling & bottleneck elimination.
• Familiarity with running large & scalable applications using AWS & GCP services.
• Familiarity in automating deployment pipelines (CI/CD). 
• Expert with Laravel development, core concepts & ecosystem.
• Expert in relational & non-relational database systems (MySQL, Cassandra)
• Experience in modern front-end web development using JavaScript frameworks (VueJS)
• Possess excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities with proven design skills, able to think critically of the current system in terms of growth and stability.
