Job Description

• Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts/ issues within and between projects or functional areas in a timely manner
• Develop and apply methods to monitor project progress; anticipate and address potential risks to the project
• Flexibility in applying and adapting relevant project methodologies based on client, situation and culture
• Interact regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery
• Advocate on behalf of clients and represent clients’ needs as appropriate to management
• Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems and resolutions to management
• Mentor, coach and set direction for project team members
• Ability to apply scope change management and guard against scope creep
• Identify opportunities for business process improvements within project scope

Job Requirements

• College or University degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 2 years working in financial services industry, including experience in successfully managing technology projects
• Outstanding grasp of information technology concepts and processes
• Demonstrated aptitude for effective leadership of staff
• Strong and tested project management skills, including risk management
• Understand who is the client and what are the client’s needs; provide realistic expectations; establish specific customer satisfaction standards and actively monitor client satisfaction
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with demonstrable experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines and managing multiple work streams with conflicting priorities
