Job Description

• Perform full spectrum of purchasing functions and manage the day to day purchasing activities which includes material sourcing, negotiation, prepare purchase orders and order tracking.
• Oversee the procurement activities in the company and ensure all purchases follow the Company’s standard policy and procedures and drive improvement in the Company’s SOP.
• To identify the risk and opportunity of the department and workout the action plan to mitigate the risks.
• Develop purchasing strategy – forecast the Company’s demands and usage, setting up terms of payments, negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing with suppliers, monitor quality, delivery performances and selection of new suppliers.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking – evaluation of suppliers which adhere to ISO 9001 requirement and also in terms of best value, delivery, quality, price and ensure all criteria are met according to the Company’s requirements and expectation.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
• Be updated with market information, i.e. price trends and supply availability in order to have effective pricing negotiation with suppliers.
• To lead the subordinates on purchasing and material planning by giving guidance and training.
• Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiency.
• Other ad-hoc assignments from time to time.

Job Requirements

• At least a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies or equivalent.

• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
• Analytical skills, with the ability to conduct cost analyses.
• Negotiation skills.
• Initiative.
• Result Oriented.
• A team player with good problem skills and possess high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
• Able to speak and write English.
