About The Job

The Analyst studies an organization’s current application systems and procedures and designs information systems solutions to help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively. They bring business and information technology (IT) together by understanding the needs and limitations of both.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-Sales
  • Prepare presentation materials
  • Participate in pre-sales meetings to understand the business requirements of potential clients
  •  Perform feasibility tests on application functionalities
  • Identify and resolve gaps in system capabilities
  • Conduct research on industry-specific needs and develop subject matter expert skills

End-to-end Implementation of Application Systems
  • Develop standard project documentations and templates
  • Conduct requirements gathering workshops and consult with business process owners to determine the role of IT systems in an organization
  • Design, recommend, and implement effective technology solutions that will enhance the clients’ business functionality and overall performance
  • Devise ways to add new functionality to existing applications and assess/analyze the impact of the change
  • Develop functional specifications for customized solutions
  • Configure and test application systems, and conduct training for new users
  • Assist in managing data migration activities

Technical Support for Application Systems
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve incoming queries and issues
  • Maintain the Issue Log by documenting the details and resolution for each query/issue
  • Provide functional expertise and guidance to customers, respond clearly to queries/issues and walk them through the problem-solving process
  • Follow up with customers to ensure that their issues have been resolved
  • Develop self-help documents that would enable customers to fix problems themselves
  • Maintain a common knowledge base for the support team

Job Requirements

Major/Discipline
Computer Science, Information Technology or any related field

Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in any of the major/discipline mentioned above or a combination of related experience and education
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia or any Chinese language
  • Basic knowledge on enterprise software applications, data processing and hardware platforms
  • Background in web technologies such as HTML, Javascript, Python, JSON, AJAX, and XML
  • Good working skills with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  •  Logical thinker
  •  Good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Able to adapt well
  • Able to work well under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Strong organization, planning and reporting skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Result oriented individual
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours
