Job Description
- Work closely with the regional SEO team and other cross-functional teams to provide/execute SEO best practises in Shopee Malaysia
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
- Close the gap between Shopee and competitors via competitor analysis and monitoring
- Monitor SEO performance with key metrics
- Develop and implement internal and external link building strategy
- Work with other members of the SEO team to drive organic traffic through content creation (written) and guiding of content strategy
- Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO rankings for target keywords
- Other ad-hoc SEO duties as required
Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of hands-on and proven SEO experience in an in-house or agency role
- Good understanding of technical & content-related SEO best practices
- Experience in using SEO and website analytics tools like Google Search Console and Bing webmaster tool, Screaming Frog, ahrefs.com, and Google Analytics
- Strong project management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Sharp attention to detail and interest in continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently but also collaborate with internal & cross-functional teams
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience in writing/content creation for SEO preferred
