Job Description

• Production Assistant must be flexible and well organized 
• Be able to think on their feet.
• Able to relay messages quickly and accurately, while paying due regard to the need for silence when on set and to assist wherever they are needed on productions. 
• Be able to take orders, and to show tact and deference towards those in positions of authority and greater responsibility.
• Be punctual and enthusiastic, and understand the importance of taking detailed notes and recording expenditure accurately.
• Manage production expenses according to production budget
• Collect and compile receipt/invoice from production crews/freelancers.
• Provide payment voucher for expenses.
• Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure. 
• Able to contribute to good working relationships, and to create a positive atmosphere on the production.
• They should have good secretarial skills, and be computer literate in standard word processor, spreadsheet and email programs.
• Manage production equipment effectively from pre to post production.
• Coordinate leads/extras around filming area.
• Conduct crowd control by putting up signs, directing pedestrians away from filming, lock down sets etc.

• Able to work in flexible hours (including weekends).

Job Requirements

• Proven experience as production assistant or a passion for the industry
• Knowledge of terminology will be appreciated
• Computer savvy
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking ability
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving
• A team player with great communication skills
• Physical strength and stamina
• A valid driver’s license
• High school diploma; Relevant training (e.g. production courses) will be an advantage
