Job Description

As a Human Resource Manager / Human Resource Executive, your responsibilities will include the following:

1. SALARIES AND COMPENSATION PACKAGES
  • To ensure timely processing of payroll and ensure payroll transactions are performed accurately.
 
2. WORKFORCE PLANNING & EMPLOYMENT (RECRUITMENT & SELECTION)
  • Handle and manage full cycle of recruitment and selection process, including screening, interviews, and on-boarding program planning.
  • Conduct market surveys or research and propose salary structures and benefit packages to ensure market/industry competitiveness.
  • Creating and reviewing job descriptions.
 
3. EMPLOYEE AND LABOUR RELATIONS
  • Distribution of and ensuring clear comprehension of employee handbook, code of conduct manual, and performance appraisals guidelines to the workforce.
  • Handle all matters related to disciplinary actions, grievances, counselling, staff misconducts, and provide advisory on disciplinary matters.
  • Responsible for foreign workers’ management/administration.
 
4. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
  • Conduct regular performance and efficiency evaluation to ensure consistent growth of the workforce’s skill sets and capabilities.
  • Provide coaching to HR team and proactively contribute to the achievement of the overall HR objectives.
 
5. STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
  • Partner with the company’s stakeholders to develop strategic plans that drive business performance in terms of manpower planning, budget and management which involves engagement, deployment, career development and training needs for employees.
  • Initiate, plan, review and implement effective HR policies and procedures to ensure HR practices are constantly benchmarked against the best industry practices and to monitor its compliance and effectiveness.
  • Analyse and design solutions that address chronic performance challenges.
  • Responsible for accurate data collection and analysis and to generate monthly related reports, conduct analysis and identify ways to improve the operational efficiency of the department.
 
6. LEGAL COMPLIANCE
  • Keep updated on any changes in professional practices, statutory or labour laws, regulations and requirements that may impact company policies and ensure compliance with all Malaysian government legislation and Act and local authorities’ rules and regulations.
 
7. ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS
  • Keeping track of inventory for the Company’s IT assets, office equipment, stationery etc.
  • Arrange office events such as office meetings, staffs’ events and recreation activities.
  • Efficiently and effectively manage the security of the company’s workplaces.
  • Any other tasks assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
  2. At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  3. Well versed in Malaysian Employment Act 1955 and Industrial laws, prevailing HR practices and legislation, including management of expatriate and foreign labour related matters.
  4. Responsible, meticulous and possess good working attitude and high accuracy in details.
  5. A self-starter, initiative, independent and possess a high degree of confidentiality.
  6. Good organising skill and able to interact with all level of people.
  7. Results oriented, effective collaborator and communicator with strong problem-solving skills.
  8. Independent in performing job tasks.
  9. Hands on with HR Operations/processes.
  10. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks/projects under tight deadlines.
  11. Knowledge in SQL computerized payroll program will be an added advantage.
  12. Strong proficiency in English and Malay. Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin will be an added advantage.
