Job Description

What is SEEd.Lab? What is a 'changemaker' role?
SEEd.Lab or Social Enterprise Education Lab is a social enterprise innovation hub powered by PETRONAS and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). SEEd.Lab aims to incubate social enterprises that create a multiplier effect of positive social impact, as a way to give back to Malaysia.

We are searching for changemakers (participants fondly known as SEEd.lings) to join SEEd.Lab Cohort 2.

What will a SEEd.ling be doing in Cohort 2?
SEEd.lings - individuals and teams - will be forging solutions to community pain points in Malaysia by developing start-ups with a social cause (social enterprises) leveraging on the power of technology and innovation.

What will a SEEd.ling go through?
SEEd.lings will go through 3 phases over a 12 to 18-month period: Ideation, Incubation and Commercialisation. We will cover the basics from the ground up on establishing your business-for-good by having classes and mentorship sessions with PETRONAS and TCS coaches, to support your start-up journey.

You will first form your team with other SEEd.lings and go through the process of ideation to address some of the most challenging problems faced by the community. At incubation, your team create a prototype of the solution and validate through continuous refinement of user experience and testing with real target users. Once you hit commercialisation, you will execute a go-to-market plan and launch your social enterprise!

At the end of each stage, a session with the Panel Members will take place to review, challenge and exchange feedback on the ideas pitched. Each stage will conclude with a decision by the Panel Members on whether a team would progress to the next stage.

What happens after 18 months?
Upon graduation from SEEd.Lab Cohort 2, you will be a co-founder of your social enterprise born out of SEEd.Lab, and on your way to greater success!  Coaching and mentoring support will be provided to your venture for a further 12 months after graduation.

Where and how do I apply?
