Job Description

• Carry out relevant applied research (data science, machine learning algorithm, etc.) upon projects’ requirements.
• Prepare documentation for all design works and research activities.
• Prepare solution proposal upon request.
• Prepare project estimation (manpower, hardware, software license, etc.) upon request.
• Prepare UI/dashboard mock-ups as necessary.
• Prepare presentation slides as necessary.
• Managing inter-division and intra-division communications with customers, project managers, system analytics, and developers to ensure timely feedback and progress review.
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
• Keep abreast of developments in the field.
• Any other tasks and responsibilities as the Management assign.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor (Master/PhD preferred) of Computer Science in Computer Engineering/Data Science/Data Mining or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Data Engineer or similar role.
• Familiarity with Data Science Methodology (like CRISP-DM).
• Competency in Analytical tools. e.g. Python, R, Tableau, PowerBI, Keras, Tensorflow, Pytorch, HuggingFaces etc.
• Familiar with the software development life cycle. e.g. conduct user requirements study, wireframe, presentation of ideas, prototype etc.
• Knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, machine learning techniques and algorithms.
• Knowledge of system development and web technologies.
• Knowledge on any of the following is a plus: 
  • Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Git, Gitlab, etc
  • Databases: MySQL, Redis, etc.
  • Big Data Technologies: HDFS, Kafka, Hbase, Impala etc.
  • Analytical Technologies: Rapidminer, Talend, SPSS etc.
• Willing to work in Kuching, Sarawak.
