About The Job

You will be responsible in equipping staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks. You'll either deliver some training yourself or arrange for a third-party trainer to do it (internal managers or external partners). You manage all related training activities including Headquarters training, Onsite training and Ongoing training. You’ll help with the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees' skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within the organisation.

On the Projects front, as we are transforming the culture, there will be many Projects to start and kick off which in many you will lead and kick it off example engagement activities etc.

In this role, you should be passionate about helping people learn and grow. Excellent Project coordination and management skills, stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify training and development needs within the organisation through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with operations managers, and human resources departments
  • Work in a team to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all level of employees in the organisation from ground service crew, factory workers to Managers, Accountants and senior managers.
  • Develop effective induction programmes & Training calendar
  • Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, mentoring, online training)
  • Consider the costs of planned programmes, and device a format in budgeting the programmes and assessing the return on investment.
  • Manage the delivery of training and development programmes for Franchise operations and Production operations, in a more senior role, devise a training strategy for the organisation.
  • Amend and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
  • Help team managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups, and evaluate training and development programmes
  • Help managers develop their team members through career pathing.
  • Where relevant, be involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning platforms.
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
  • Develop, Coordinate & Manage Engagement strategies i.e designing and running an employee survey, staff engagement townhalls, Internal Facebook content, Bulletins
  • To drive and manage any HR related Projects ie Performance Appraisal, Benefit review exercise, Talent Aquisition etc

For this role you will need to show your proven ability to, and or possess the following:

  1. Thought Process/ Leaderships skills/Behaviour Change 
  2. Experience in the L&D field or similar
  3. Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  4. Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
  5. Experience in project management 
  6. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Exel, Powerpoint)
  7. Learning Management Systems (LMS) / Gamification
  8. Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen
  9. Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
  10. Excellent communicator, Good motivator, Presentation skills
  11. Ability to write training materials and keep records.

Rotiboy started of as a Malaysian bakery chain brand based in Kuala Lumpur. Founded in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Malaysia in 1998, driven by the Founder’s purpose in building an organisation that not only make life better for himself but also for the people and community around him, the brand has since grown internationally, serving freshly baked products in over 200 stores in Indonesia, South Korea, Middle East and China. 

We anticipate that the future will bring us to shores of more Asian markets and also to the American and European markets.
