Job Description

• External Auditors – liaising with them to ensure timely completion of the annual audit until the final production of the Annual Report and conclusion of AGM.
• Internal Auditors – liaising with them to ensure appropriate coverage of all business risk areas and the follow up on all identified remedial actions.
• Tax Agents – to liaise with them to ensure all tax compliance is filed and explore new tax planning opportunities.
• Bankers – to maintain a good relationship and ensure funding and trade facilities are on the best terms.
• Government agencies/ regulatory bodies – to liaise and manage the relationships with key regulatory bodies/ government agencies (eg. MATRADE, MIDA, IRB, BNM, Statistics Department etc).
• Consultants – to work closely with consultants in improvement projects.

• Management Team members – to assist in the financial and operational reviews of the Group and assist the Management Team members to address issues and implementing remedial actions.
• Head of Departments – to be the business partner to all HODs and facilitate the decision making process by providing key financial and business impact analysis. 
• Indirect interactions with all levels of staff within the organization.

• To manage the Accounting & Finance Team.
• Coordinates and guide the activities of subordinates.
• To recruit and develop the key talents to strengthen the bench strength of the department.
• To ensure effective stewardship of the Company’s financial and tax management.
• To ensure all regulatory compliances are met.
• The overall functions of Finance & Accounts, budgetary control, Group Consolidations, Planning & Analysis.
• Preparing and analyzing financial results and conducting periodic balance sheet reconciliation and reviews.
• Responsible for the timely compliance of tax and other statutory or corporate governance requirements.
• Responsible for Cash Flow and Treasury Management.
• Liaise with external auditors and internal departments for preparation and completion of statutory accounts.
• Responsible for the review and implementation of the Group accounting policies and accounting standards.
• Assist in corporate-wide Enterprise Risk Management. 
• Reviews ledger and reports to identify and trace error and makes necessary corrections.
• Ensure accurate and appropriate recording revenues and expenses.
• Ensure financial records are properly maintained.
• Substantiates business transactions with relevant supporting documents.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
• Review and advice on business operations regarding revenue and expenditure trends and financial commitments.
• Maintains confidence by keeping financial information confidential.
• Coordinate the annual audit process.
• Trouble-shoot accounting problems.
• Investigate, reconcile, and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. 
• Ensure compliance tax (Income tax, RPGT, Sales Tax, and Service Tax, GST), legal requirements and advising management on necessary actions

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in a similar capacity
• Professional Qualification (ACCA, MIA, CIMA, CPA etc)
• Experience in leading a team
• Preferably in the manufacturing and foodservice industry
• Excellent communication in written & verbal skills
• Good leadership and managerial skills
