Job Description

• Lead and manage the BIM process, based at the project office, with overall responsibility for the creation of all models and associated information across all partners;
• Develop and manage the project BEP and BIM implementation strategy;
• Ensure the deliverables are issued to PDP on schedule and in accordance with the BIM programme which shall be aligned with the design management plan;
• Coordinate with the design discipline leaders & sub-DDCs to monitor the BIM progress and compliance with the BIM BEP;
• Issue up-to-date federated models prior to all of the coordination meetings;
• Attend design coordination workshops to explain the findings to the project team and to assist them in understanding coordination issues and design problems found from the clash detection process;
• Manage the quality of the drawings and documentation produced from the models;
• Coordinate software training and establish software protocols for the Construction Team to follow to allow for efficient delivery of the project;
• Act as the main point of contact for all BIM related issues between the Construction Team,  subcontractors, and the Design Team in conjunction with the BIM Manager and others as required;
• Facilitate the use of composite trade models in construction coordination/clash mitigation meetings and provide clash detection reports by the identification and resolution of all hard and soft collisions within agreed tolerances for construction;
• Train the project team members that shall be engaged in reviewing federated models on how to use the BIM for coordination and mitigation of clashes;
• Communicate with the Design Team, coordinate the data extraction sets required by the construction trades and ensure that these requests are met;
• Coordinate with the Design Team to facilitate design changes in the field have been documented and are updated in the BIM in a timely manner;
• Prior to approval and installation, work with the supply chain sub-contractors modellers to integrate 3D fabrication models with the updated design model to ensure compliance with design intent;
• Coordinate updates of as-constructed conditions in the final model deliverable;
• Discuss with the project team how clashes in design and trade models are resolved and how variations are resolved and coordinated in the model;
• Review the benchmark result of the BIM maturity between all disciplines and arrange necessary up-skill of the BIM adoption to achieve PDP BIM objectives.

Job Requirements

• A degree holder with architectural background
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an architectural, engineering or construction-based role.
• Familiarity with the modelling process in BIM.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of quality and document management processes.
