You will be working directly with a diverse range of clients from around the globe, but will often utilise your Mandarin speaking capability to support our clients in mainland China.
As well as being a fluent in Mandarin, you will have strong English language skills to communicate effectively with colleagues from our global offices and clients from other parts of the world too. An effective team player, you will bring a flexible attitude in to the office with you every day - being equally prepared to contribute to team-wide data collection and validation efforts, as you will be to work on your own initiative on your own allocated evaluation projects.
While we are ideally looking for an experienced analyst, if you are someone with excellent language skills and a genuine interest in Higher Education we would love to hear from you too, as there may be opportunities to enter the team at a Junior Analyst level with some extra support to welcome you to the wonderful world of data.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a team to deliver detailed data validation and reporting activities
- Monitoring workloads of the team and making sure work is fairly distributed
- Maintaining the quality of your own and the team’s outputs
- Supporting the team to achieve their KPIs
- Watching out for the welfare of team members, and making sure we foster an innovative and dynamic working culture in the office
- Undertaking assignments yourself involving detailed validation of data to evaluate universities and liaison with clients in Chinese/Mandarin or English.
- Online research to source data
- Answering queries from universities about rankings
- Conducting analysis and drafting evaluation reports to
- Manage universities database.
- Expertly using excel on daily basis.
- Developing and maintaining both personal and organisational expertise in the area of institutional research in higher education
Job Requirements
- Highly adaptable and quick learner
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Chinese/Mandarin
- Strong data skills with strong knowledge of Excel or equivalent data software
- A professional attitude and a strong work ethic
- Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data and to synthesise clear narratives and conclusions
- Ability to manage workload and competing deadlines with minimal hand holding
- Direct client contact experience at some level with a focus on customer satisfaction
- An international perspective
- Interest in the Higher Education sector
