About The Job

As an Application Engineer / Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in design of our solutions in the sales process and take responsibility in the delivery phase. He/she is responsible for ensuring that the delivered solution is implemented and integrated with the customers systems, organization and process in accordance to the overall requirements and to the customers expectation.

This role requires a high level of interaction with internal technical organization, Third Party Partner and the Customer Technical and Project Teams.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the sales organization as an expert in our services and solutions portfolio, including answering Statement of compliance documents, developing solution descriptions, writing and reviewing technical material.
  • You will assist from technical perspective in customer solution analysis, solution effort cost estimate, delivery, specifications & customer interface from a solution perspective.
  • You will be required to participate in solution deployment including installation, configuration and customization of products. You will be required to develop computer code as part of deployment activities.
  • You will be part of customer project team, taking lead technical role for effort verification of solutions, analyzing the customer’s processes and requirements, perform dimensioning, estimate cost for customer adaptations, prepare and write solution descriptions.
  • You are also expected to coordinate the planning and execution activities with product team, within scope of your solution responsibility from presales to completion of project.
  • Secure the technical functionality and quality of delivery in customer projects with close cooperation with the product development units.
  • Participating in solving project delivery issues, as well as handling change requests and the impact of change requests for delivered offers and/or ordered deliveries from a solutions’ perspective

Job Requirements

Competency
  • Proficiency in various application development methodologies (Agile, XP, RAD/JAD etc) and the ability to scope software solutions and its delivery effort at a high level
  • Conversant with Solaris, Linux, Windows, Java as well as Application/Web servers such as JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Web Server, Apache HTTPD etc.
  • Proficiency in programming language, framework, UI technology such as Java, JavaScript, Bash, Ruby, Struts, SpringMVC, jQuery, Dojo, HTML5, CSS.
  • Possess working knowledge and troubleshooting ability of database engine such as Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with the following protocols, SFTP, XML, Schematron, HTTP, LDAP, Web services

Education Requirements :
  • Degree in Computer Science with working experience in IT or related
  • High school Diploma, with up to 5 years of experience in Computer Science is encouraged to apply
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skill
  • Have an aptitude for problem solving and be consultative in approach
  • Required skills : Microsoft Project, Office
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
