Roles and Responsibilities
A. General Roles and Responsibilities
1. Executive the policies and plans as set by the management towards achieving the set objectives, targets and goals of the production operation.
2. Prepare and implement operation schedules for ensuring operations are executed in controlled manner and results of operations meet the quality requirement and are delivered in given duration of time with minimal costs and optimal resources.
3. Coordinate with Staff from the Planning Department for receiving production orders and ensuring availabilities of the raw materials as well as the hardware needed for realization of production operation and completion of the given orders.
4. Control, steer and motivate production teams for ensuring the members are capable to carry out works, understand requirement of the products and effective in performing their duties.
5. Monitor, keep records and analyse daily performance of the operation.
6. Provide recommendations and corrective actions for improving the production performance from time to time.
7. Attend monthly operation meeting.
8. Update raw materials, hardware and rejection inventory every end month.
9. Establish and implement SOP, JI and Safety Rules and Regulation in the operation floor and ensuring its compliant at all times.
10. Any other roles and responsibilities from time to time as determine by immediate superior.
B. Specific Tasks and Duties
I. Daily Tasks
1. Conduct meeting with supervisor/leader/workers on outstanding work orders and operational matters.
2. Report to Manager on major abnormal happenings.
3. To liase with end users on work request.
4. To ensure cleanliness and safety in work place.
5. Delegate work to supervisor/leader/workers.
6. To manage workers overtime, performance and productivity.
7. Maintain worker discipline.
8. Conduct job briefing and training.
9. To order operational supplies for production.
II Weekly Tasks
1. To attend weekly departmental meeting.
2. Prepare weekly report on major item or key highlights.
3. Conduct meeting with end users on outstanding production orders.
4. Weekly inspection on the assigned areas of responsibilities.
III Monthly Tasks
1. To prepare month end report and submit to Manager.
2. To prepare KPI reports, analyse and improve KPI.
3. To prepare operating supplies report, analyse and reduce losses/consumption.
4. To attend monthly operation meeting.
5. To conduct monthly stock take exercise.
IV Yearly Tasks
1. To assist manager on annual budget preparation.
Relationships:
1. The job holder will also have to liase with personnel from other department or outside, authorities and other stakeholders.
Conditions:
1. The job holder is expected to work extra time during busy season and emergency situation.
