About The Job

Accounting Administrative Assistants provide clerical assistance to an organization’s accounting department or team. Their role differs from general administrative employees in that they also perform basic accounting functions as well. They must be able to perform general office duties, like answering phones and greeting customers as well as perform higher-level functions, such as processing invoices and preparing deposits.

Job Requirements

  • Proficient in computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong typing skills, 50+ wpm
  • Experience with office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and scanners
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and financial principles
  • Letter preparation and government administrative knowledge
