Job Description

Our management trainee program is built for both fresh and experienced individuals to fast-track themselves towards a management role. We are looking for an accounts specialist to assist our director in streamlining the accounting processes of the company.

What you’ll be doing as an accounts pro  

  1. Prepare weekly and monthly reports which include but are not limited to sales analysis and monthly management accounts.
  2. Submit monthly financial report summarizing the performance of the businesses, which includes a P&L, variance analysis against budget and forecast, balance sheet and cash flow, focus areas for the next month, control weaknesses and corrective actions.
  3. Implement financial controls in the businesses which prevent misuse and misappropriation of funds or assets and inefficient cost control.
  4. Prepare relevant tax submission report to authorities.
  5. Prepare annual budgets.
  6. Management and control of all banking related transactions.
  7. Enforce and implement compliance with the Companies Act 2016, Accounting Standards (MPERS), Income Tax Act 1967
  8. Provide insightful information and expectations to Director to aid in long-term and short-term finance decisions.
  9. Understand our strategic direction and initiatives and assist with team alignment and support

Job Requirements

What we imagine you’re like

  1. You possess a Diploma / Professional Degree/Master’s Degree in Finance Accounting / Banking equivalent.
  2. You are familiar with Malaysian tax laws (SST) and corporate tax law
  3. Having experience with Quickbooks Accounting system is an added advantage.
  4. You’re organized, detail-oriented and self-driven. You can get things done without being micro-managed and are happy to take responsibility.
  5. You have a habit of showing initiative (i.e. you’re happy to take the lead to manage projects)
  6. You’re curious to keep up to date with the latest industry trends and regulations and can’t wait to test new solutions
  7. You are adaptive to change 
  8. You’re comfortable working with small but agile teams
