Job Description

 1.    Origination of the Media Plan: 
  • Work with the Business Director and client to develop effective media strategies.
  • Assess, identify and recommend media initiatives that positively influence the plan/strategy.
  • Effective use of data and platform analysis to develop more insightful media solutions. 
  • Effective use of planning and research tools to develop more insightful media solutions. 
  • Create clear and coherent plans that bring the media strategy to life.
  • Working closely with the planners to ensure smooth translation from strategy to plan.
 
2.    Management of the implementational process and client relationship management: 
  • Work alongside the immediate team and other business units on key OMD accounts.
  • Oversee day to day operations and processes alongside the respective planners and traders.
  • Day to day management and ownership of implementation process.
  • Maintain regular and clear client communications and build trusted client relationships.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure brief is delivered / brought to plan accurately. 
  • Work with Business Director to continually develop and improve reporting capability.
 
3.    Digital performance optimization 
  • Working alongside wider team to extract, analyze, interpret and present analytics data.
  • Work with trading specialists to optimize digital investment based on performance data.
  • Understand and optimize cross channel media performance to make data driven investment decisions.
  • Understanding user behaviour and generating useable insights through platform level analysis.
  • Integration of digital performance data and learnings into strategic planning. 
 
 
4.    Development and direction of Planners. 
  • Clear delegation and clarity of basic and intermediate level tasks to Planners. 
  • Oversee team to ensure accurate and detailed briefs for relevant third-party units (e.g. the Trading Team, Performance/Digital Trading Team, Direct Publisher buys etc.)
  • Ensure team members adhere to timely delivery and upkeep of all relevant reporting systems and templates (media plans, contact reports, status reports).
  • Ensure team adheres to post campaign reporting that quantifies the value of the media strategy. 
 

Job Requirements

  • Tertiary qualified 
  • 4-5 years of industry experience strong media planning & buying experience 
  • Excellent understanding of media fundamentals and strategic planning capabilities 
  • Basic level analytics and data capability 
  • Strong client facing communication & presentation skills

  • Passionate, with strong opinions about communications 
  • Ability to build strong relations with colleagues, clients, and external  partners 
  • Can demonstrate good organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills internally, with media owners and clients     
  • An instinctive desire to exceed expectations (clients and management) 
  • Can multitask and change priorities rapidly and is effective under pressure
