3 Reasons why it’s hard for fresh graduates to find a job

Hi, my name is Nadia. The top 3 reasons mentioned above is from ME. YES, you heard it right. Before I found my organisation, I was unemployed for a period of time. I was an IT Dean student at my university. My CGPA is 3.94. My expectation on career path is pretty high. I wanted to be a programmer, having my own workstation with incredible functioning laptops.  Hence I’ve rejected quite a number of job offers as I think I deserve better than what’s been offered to me. I had this belief that if I accept the job offer, what will my life be and how will people say when I accept the job. I will have all sort of assumptions and questions which led me to be unemployed for a period of time after graduation. Till one day my aunt came and advise me to start work in any field anywhere to gain experience and stop being choosy or worrying about the future on how the job will shape my life and to step out of the past of being the best student in my university. Her other advise was as long as I take care of my current situation my future will be fine. I should grab any opportunity even if it landed me to entry-level job as clerk, cashier etc. That’s what my aunt advised me. I start look for a job and gaining experience. This make me realize that experience is very expensive. This is why you get paid based on your skills and not your best academic results.


Experience is expensive because we invest our time and effort to gain and time meant money. And who am I now is because of these experiences I’ve gained as factory operator, kindergarten teacher, cashier and canteen helper. Earning as low as RM300 a month to RM1200 a month had me to strive to be a better me. Believe me, as we grow better, we eventually need not to worry about money or lifestyle. These follows eventually.
