Job Description

• Oversee web development and support & maintenance for Nippon Paint websites.
• Design, develop, test, implement, maintenance of web applications to be utilized by business customers with the process of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Design and maintain the production eCommerce site.
• Responsible for functional analysis, information gathering & structure of system design.
• Participate in unit and system testing (SIT) during application/solution development life-cycle.
• To provide post-development product support and develop appropriate bug fixes.
• To conduct the transfer of technology (TOT) on finished products to the technical support team.
• Lead junior PHP developers.
• Work with UX designers.
• Report progress update to Web & Mobile Development Manager/Project Manager.
• To conduct product training and/or workshop when is required.

Job Requirements

• Possess a Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of related industry experience in R&D or application development role.
• Strong experience in system analysis, database analysis and software development methodologies especially in Agile software development.
• Strong understanding and familiarity in software development technologies that would be relevant for OSS application development, in the following:
  • Wordpress CMS and Magento Framework are mandatory
  • PHP (Laravel Framework), 
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (Jquery Framework), React JS
  • Nginx/Apache web servers
  • RESTful API (GET, PUT, POST and DELETE), AJAX, XML, JSON
  • Linux shell scripting
  • MariaDB database, MySQL, MonggoDB
  • Dockers container
  • GIT repositories
• Knowledge in communicating SAP program, and others OSS technologies will be a strong advantage.
• Must be well-organized, independent, take initiatives, detailed and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent project management, communication, writing, public speaking and presentation skills.
• Must be a Malaysian citizen.
