About The Job

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company’s Objectives Key Results (OKRs) and drive growth
  • Responsible for company's P&L ensuring revenue and bottom-line targets are met
  • Build team and scale against aggressive growth targets
  • Recruit, train and develop the team with continual development for individuals
  • Lead and motivate the team to ensure set goals are either met or exceeded
  • Acquire and maintain exceptional rapport with external business partners
  • Prepare monthly reports for management
  • Manage internal & external escalations
  • Develop and ensure SOP and SLA standards are met to achieve efficient and smooth operations
  • Funds management for the company
  • Oversee daily operations of company functions, increasing operational efficiency when required
  • Manage and coordinate annual financial reporting
  • Handle AP/AR, payment collection, payroll and bank reconciliation
  • Manage general care, maintenance and services for the upkeep of the office environment

Job Requirements

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; with
  • At least 5+ years’ experience, within the sales and business development management function with P&L management responsibilities
  • Proficient in Bahasa Melayu, English and Mandarin Language
  • Entrepreneurial in nature with Hands-on Mentality
  • Willing to work in startup environment
  • Succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
  • Self-motivated achiever with growth mindset
  • Strong drive for results, with the ability to manage independently and take calculated risks
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication with good ‘people skills’
  • Exceptional ability to solve problems
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to understand and analyse sales numbers and manage key sales metrics

As a first-time seller, he encountered many unreasonable offers from buyers who tried to take advantage of his inexperience. He also had many doubts about the heavy paperwork involved. After this experience, Damian decided that he wanted to help fellow drivers who were new to vehicle transactions. He eventually came up with the idea of a reliable third-party platform where sellers could connect with certified and interested buyers, and find expert help for any doubts they might have. Thus, Motorist was born. 

Over just 3 short years, Motorist has grown from an idea to a bustling company with over 20 employees, all of whom have helped over 7,000 drivers and transacted over $100,000,000 worth of vehicles securely and successfully.

In 2018, we have entered the APAC market, starting with Malaysia; pioneering our first overseas expansion. We have taken our operations beyond vehicle transactions, and focusing on the needs of drivers. Motorist is now a comprehensive AutoConcierge platform that not only assists drivers with vehicle transactions, but also helps them to conveniently manage all aspects of vehicle ownership.
