Job Description
The program will involve a rotation in our retail centre to understand our customers first-hand, be involved in a series of innovative and interesting projects that provide exposure to cutting-edge technologies, while going through developmental programs to build both hard and soft skills for holistic development. They will then have the choice to rotate into other areas to experience different projects while practicing their data science skillsets. At the end of the program, they will progress into a full-fledged data science practitioner role in Maxis.
The Data Science Practitioner will tackle business problems through the use of artificial intelligence, big data and advanced analytics. The incumbent will experience tasks and projects in the area of data engineering and architecture to find solutions that are driven by valuable insights. The Data Science Practitioner will tackle business problems through the use of artificial intelligence, big data and advanced analytics. The incumbent will experience tasks and projects in the area of data engineering and architecture to find solutions that are driven by valuable insights. - Initiate and participate in projects in the area of prediction, optimization, and processes using advanced statistical / mathematical approaches. This includes designing, development, testing and deployment of the applications.
- Collaborate with Information Governance team and data engineers to understand company needs and develop possible solutions.
- Implement most recent algorithms and approaches for machine learning in collaboration with our researchers.
- Subject matter support on providing best architecture design guidance and select the most appropriate modelling techniques and data visualization for big data analysis or BI applications.
- Responsible for learning new mathematical or technical methods for future data modelling related deliverables.
- Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design.
- Adhere and follow change management process and documentation as per company’s standard.

- Be someone who takes ownership while having a teamplayer’s mindset
- Have a bachelor’s degree or higher in any data-related courses ie Data Science/ Data Analytics/ Actuarial Science/ E&E Engineering / Other areas of Engineering, etc
- Have a CGPA of 3.2 and above
- Have an advantage if you have experience in at least a programming language
