Job Description

• Drive and lead financial planning for Markaids by producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines, manage budgets,and forecast requirements.
• Review daily inventory movements between purchase orders, work-in-progress & inventory. 
• Conduct inventory control audits, variance analysis and physical inventory count reconciliations.
• Responsible for handling a full set of accounts which includes generating financial reports, processing payables, receivables, journal vouchers, petty cash, inventory report, maintenance of fixed assets registers, filling, etc.
• Arrange payment with the bank for payment of local suppliers and TT for overseas suppliers, and systematic filing of documents.
• Work closely with the HR Manager for the payment of all company staff claims/bills/salary/overtime. 
• Assist on the payment for company IT, phone, internet bills and consumable expenses once verified and approved by the HR Manager. 
• Work closely with the Logistic Department for the payment of invoices from forwarder, transporter and courier company.
• Control, checking and payment for all other utilities and key into SQL. 
• Following up and ensuring that any outstanding payment owed to Markaids is received. 
• Manage and prepare SST submission from Markaids and all related companies.
• SST Input Tax claims from import shipment and local suppliers invoice and update payment. 
• Prepare a monthly debtor outstanding list for the sales team.  
• Update bank balance and check bank statements for reconciliation. 
• Supervise a small team of accounting personnel. 

Job Requirements

• Candidates must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma  in Accounting, Finance or relevant field. 
• Required language(s): English ; Bahasa Malaysia.
• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position. 
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability. 
• Able to work under tight deadlines and a fast paced environment.
• Communicates effectively and efficiently with empathy, authenticity and esteem.
• Good knowledge in SQL systems is an added advantage. 
• Required Skill(s): Account Receivable, Account Payable, Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Corporate Taxation Knowledge, Good Time Management.
