About The Job

We’re looking for content aficionados who are able to ‘think’ in memes, build narratives, write killer one liners, and have the pulse of what’s going on (pop culture and locally) at the tips of their fingers. Ideally, you’re a young, passionate, entertainment enthusiast with time on your hands for a sweet side gig, where essentially, you’re paid to deliver content ideas for the biggest entertainment brand around.

  • Deliver ideas weekly in a specific format, along with references, for our team to pick and choose from - which may eventually make their way to our social media platforms.
  • Identify and craft distinct editorial angles, catering for a diverse range of tastes while always remaining authentic and audience-centric.
  • Portray deep knowledge of social audiences and platforms and how to properly leverage them to create attention-worthy content.
  • Spot trends and provide insights from conversations with fans and consumers.
  • Manage quality control and tone of voice through excellent copywriting skills.

Job Requirements

  1. Any experience working in a community management, content writing, editorial or creative copywriting capacity.
  2. A deep understanding of all things pop culture and local nuances in Malaysia.
  3. Knowledge of local language, context and culture is a must.
  4. Attuned with diverse online communities across entertainment, television and movie industries and always plugged into a variety of fan communities and groups, both global and local.
  5. Thorough understanding of social media platforms, trends and online communities.
