About The Job

The duties of an IT Technician/Officer/Executive include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner, maintaining the company’s website and cloud services, ensuring the optimal running of all IT systems, among other technical duties.

IT Technician/Officer/Executive are expected to display curiosity, resourcefulness and good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems and implement solutions to them.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field;
  • SPM School leavers with corresponding experience will be considered and training will be provided. 
  • Minimum two (2) years of EUCD (End-User Computing Device) Support, customer service, Google Suite or related experience;
  • Ability to perform the daily EUCD Support operations;
  • Able to work remotely or in-office with minimum supervision;
  • Possess knowledge in IT networking/LAN to troubleshoot computer problems and systems maintenance;
  • Possess technical skills in supporting existing and new computing devices such as desktops, notebooks and mobile devices (iOS and Android);
  • Able to provide Video Conferencing Equipment Support and IT Support;
  • Proficient in database programming,  software installation and scripting including; and
  • Familiarity with WordPress, HTML/ CSS/ Javascript, Google Apps Script; Adobe Photoshop, video editing and graphic software e.g. Canva, SEO and Digital Marketing is a plus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues;
  • Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting;
  • Manage project and perform various IT functions including setting up PC for new hires, user access management, software upgrades, security patching, management and troubleshooting of printer/ photocopy machines/ scanners etc;
  • Support Windows and macOS, office software, and troubleshoot related software & hardware issues;
  • Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level, monitoring enterprise security;
  • Conducting daily backup operations;
  • Managing technical documentation; and
  • Liaise with support vendors for maintenance, support or issues resolution;

Growth opportunities:
  • Assist CTO in developing, evaluating and reviewing new technology (software and hardware), security and cybersecurity risks, considering electrical safety standards and data protection. 
  • Review System Logs and Firewall logs based on business requirements;
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for OS-related service problems as part of problem management;
  • Assist in tracking Incident Trending, workarounds & preventative measures;

Nice to have:
  • Oversee the functionality of the website, evaluate and manage website performance, facilitate hosting and server management, and develop, maintain and update website content;
  • Identify strategies, techniques and tactics to increase the SEO;
  • Work with colleagues on process improvement and automation.
