Job Description
Often, the aforementioned badass stuff will be in the form of WordPress-based websites. So, it's critical that you're familiar with WordPress and feel pretty comfortable bending it to your will. Experience using popular page builders, like Beaver Builder, Visual Composer and Elemantor, is a big plus. Visual Composer especially.
You don't need to be a hardcore developer to do this job (we've got some of those on staff). However, for you, a working knowledge of HTML and CSS will be fairly important.
An understanding of Search Engine Optimisation is a big bonus too!
Right about now feels like a good time to make a list.
In this job, you will:
- Design websites, layouts, app interfaces and more using tools such as Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or Sketch App.
- Help to build/code/assemble these things.
- Use WordPress, a lot. And possibly other platforms such as Shopify and Drupal.
- Collaborate closely with your team members, including other designers, developers and project managers.
And you’ll need:
- Killer web design skills.
- A fundamental understanding of UX/UI principles
- Strong ability with Adobe software, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- To be able to create website development processes.
- Functional knowledge of HTML and CSS and mobile responsiveness
- Experience with WordPress page builders, particularly Visual Composer.
- Good understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (you know, we always want to be number one!)
- Experience with setting up data tracking codes and integrations, such as Facebook pixel, Linkedin Tags, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager. If you don't know these, don't worry, we'll teach you!
- An ability to work with minimal briefs.
- To be someone who is continuously trying to improve their skills and learn new techniques in the ever-evolving digital world.
Job Requirements
- A strong portfolio of websites you have worked on.
- At least 3 years experience in designing and developing websites.
- Experience in HTML, CSS and Wordpress development.
- Good command of the English language and BM.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to meet tight deadlines.
- Noncomplacent work attitude.
