Job Description

•  Provide legal support and advice to all group of companies and its associated companies’ business segments;
• Provide legal support and advice including drafting, translating, reviewing and negotiations of commercial and business agreements, mergers and acquisitions transactions, corporate governance and compliance (licensing), commercial dispute, advice on law, and supervision and management of external counsel including on management of litigations and civil disputes;
• To conduct legal research and keep abreast with development or updates in the relevant laws and regulations applicable to business;
• To assist in and/or to attend to assignments or matters as instructed by the directors, from time to time;
• Developing and implementing the corporate communication strategy to advertise and promote programs and activities for the group of companies and its associated companies; and
• Monitoring news on Chemicals industry trends across print, electronic and digital channels.

Job Requirements

• Minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB); 
• Required language(s): Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia; 
• Minimum 4-5 years working experience in legal practice or as an in-house counsel; 
• Experienced in litigation, corporate and conveyancing matters; 
• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills with good command of Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia; 
• Positive attitude, resourceful, self-motivated and meticulous; 
• A confident communicator and presenter; 
• A self-starter with an innate drive for achievement, a good team player, able to manage change, strong analytical, planning and organising skills; 
• Computer literate, able to work independently with a high degree of professionalism and integrity; 
• Preferably Managers specializing in Law/Legal Services.
