Job Description

Kaunto is a cloud accounting & bookkeeping platform for companies using digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. Our software automates large parts of bookkeeping and accounting tasks for companies that trade, transact and hold cryptocurrencies.

We are looking for an accountant to join our team, but hear us out, as it may not be what you expect!

As Head of Accounting Relations at Kaunto, you will be working on designing solutions to challenging issues being faced by cryptocurrency accountants, you’ll be working with our software to support our clients and train other accountants on using it and your goal should be to become the go-to expert on cryptocurrency accounting.

Helping our customers with designing their accounting & bookkeeping processes when using cryptocurrencies.
Finding partner accountants, setting up the partner network and training our partners on using Kaunto.
Writing guides on accounting and bookkeeping for cryptocurrency transactions.
Designing bookkeeping and accounting solutions with the product team and founder based on feedback from our customers and partners.
Helping us make product decisions based on accounting guidelines and rules.

As you may figure by now, this is not your traditional accounting job and you will not enjoy it if you want everything to be black and white, easy to understand, balanced and perfectly organized as accountants are trained for. This job is for someone who loves accounting, yet gets bored working for a traditional accounting firm filing away numbers and never being challenged with trying to find solutions to problems created by companies pushing the edge of technology and finance.

Job Requirements

We're looking for someone that:

Has at least 3 years experience accounting for a tech/startup firm.
Has a deep understanding of accounting regulations.
Has a chartered accounting certification such as CPA or ACCA.
Is not shy of technology and wouldn’t run away from reading technical documentation on blockchain, cryptocurrencies, etc.
Loves thinking through problems and designing solutions; even if they are not always perfect.
Gets excited by cryptocurrencies and new technologies in accounting.
Doesn’t mind working remotely and travel from time to time.
[bonus] Has worked as an accountant in Singapore or for Singaporean firms
