Responsibilities

The Digital Content Executive will transform the marketing team's ideas into relevant and authentic visuals that efficiently communicates the intended marketing messages. You will be responsible for a wide variety of design tasks that attract, engage and relay information to our customers in the most optimal and efficient way. This would be accomplished through developing, designing, and publishing interesting visual material that is in line with our branding.

In this role, you will

Produce assets for our social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and occasionally Shopee)
Edit videos with apps such as Premiere Pro, etc.
Design the wireframe for webpages such as for blog posts, product launches, and new services announcement pages
Illustrate and create unique, Joey-branded images/assets for use in our marketing materials and on our website
Design the graphics and layout of our emails for our email marketing campaigns
Assist in product packaging design
Produce ad assets (for FB and IG) by compiling relevant parts of different content creator/in-house videos and photographs
Manage our media assets library and make sure all content posted by customers/content creators are kept for our records
Assist in creating our monthly social media calendar (includes making sure our mood/visuals board for IG is aesthetically pleasing)
Copywriting for the visual content/ad assets is not necessary but appreciated
Take the marketing team's ideas and bringing it to life by creating the right visuals for it
Understand Joey Mattress's advertising message and efficiently communicate the brand, its products, and its services in accordance with the brand identity and voice
Assist in design-related ad-hoc tasks such as booking photoshoot studios, liaising with photographers/talents, ensuring that packaging samples arrive on time, etc.
Discover interesting topics, follow what’s trending, and create relevant materials/posts/captions to drive engagement. In other words, create memes

You will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, Joey Tan.

Job Requirements

The person we're looking for

You are creative, positive, and have a ”can-do” attitude. You are also a great team player, responsible, reliable and open to new ideas. You are used to working efficiently according to a timeline drafted while driving multiple projects. You work well both on your own as well as in teams, and aspire to contribute to the overall goals of the company.

This position requires

3-5 years of experience in a marketing, advertising, and/or creative agency
BS in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, Media or equivalent. Exceptions would be made for a strong portfolio
Great visual eye with the ability to turn copywriting into on-brand media assets
Passion for visual storytelling, marketing/advertising, pop culture, and design
Proven record of delivering effective and innovative media assets including edited videos, unique social media posts (not from Canva), wireframes for microsites and landing pages, and designing e-mails for email marketing
Functional knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (editing with Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Experience with building and developing webpage wireframes, UXUI design experience would be a huge plus
Creative and development-oriented mindset
Oral communication skills in English, plus either Mandarin or Malay (both would be a plus)
Project and time management skills
Desire to continue to grow skill set with ongoing education and training
