Job Description

• As a copywriter, you’ll write and edit copy for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, and social media) while working closely with the accounts and design teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging. Thorough research will be required to understand each client's industry, products/services, branding, and marketing goals. 

• Creation of original concepts and content that result in effective and compelling communication.
• Strategically plan and create content for cross-channel and/or direct-marketing initiatives across media, both online and off.
• Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging and content creation on existing projects. 
• Stay up-to-date on communication and related industry trends. 

Job Requirements

1. At least 2 years professional copywriting experience with a solid portfolio of work. 
2. Energy, a sense of humour and an open & curious mind (yes, these things really do matter). 
3. A love of words and a love of culture, both the good old stuff and the sizzling new pop stuff. 
4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times. 
5. Ability to strategically plan and create content for cross-channel and/or direct-marketing initiatives across media, both online and off. 
6. Ability to conduct research in view of understanding the product or service, its users and their needs across any industry or vertical. 
7. Mastery of grammar, punctuation, spelling, adjectives, and a vast vocabulary to pull from when producing copy. 
8. Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines. 
9. Social media or content marketing experience is a plus. 
10. Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides is a plus.
