Key responsibilities
·Media monitoring: Media and news monitoring as well as dissemination of coverage about the company and industry.
·Content development: Research, curate and develop content for internal and external communication such as social media content (IJM’s Workplace and iPortal/intranet), newsletters, speeches and corporate profile materials.
·Project management/administrative: Actively participate in project meetings from inception to delivery to understand deliverables, audience, timing, expected outcomes and goals.
·Writing and presentations: Assist in creating internal and external communications that are aligned with corporate priorities and messaging.
·Event management: Support and manage corporate events, CSR initiatives, meetings and social activities
·Website management: Maintain website content and ensure that corporate information and photos are up-to-date and relevant
·Building relationships: Build and maintain relationships with corporate relations team members and colleagues in other departments through providing corporate communications support.
·Administrative and coordination: Provide overall administrative support (process payments, screen phone calls, updating of databases and maintain filing system) in helping the department operate as efficiently and effectively as possible

It is essential that applicants to this position have excellent communication skills, is social media savvy, demonstrate creative thinking, and have a strong interest in internal communications, public relations or event management.
Additional skills and experience include the following:
·Students currently majoring in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Media or related disciplines
· Good command of English and possess strong verbal and written communication skills
·Graphic design capabilities with working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign
· Expert use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, proficient use of Microsoft Excel
· Strong planning and coordination skills with good time management
·Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders
·Organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
·Able to work independently with minimal supervision and a good team player
