Job Description

• Create design concepts for new products and ranges based on design briefs provided either by AEHL Marketing or clients 
• Follow up all assigned projects from concept through to final 3D drawings • Work closely with engineering for design development and tooling; 
• Attend Design meetings as required to explain and define concepts created • Wherever possible look to develop patentable and/or registerable IP 
• Attend relevant seminars and other events to network with other designers and to learn what is happening in the world of design 
• Build inter department relationships via Skype or office visit and ensure clear and concise communication with all colleagues to drive maximum efficiency across the business 
• Foster a culture of openness and sharing across the business 

Job Requirements

• Diploma or degree holder in Industrial Design or equivalent;
• Minimum 3-4 years of working experience within a Design environment
• A passion for the creative design
• Open minded, confident and willing to provide own point of view
• Creative, enthusiastic, able to use initiative, self-motivated, highly committed
• Experience in Kitchenware/Tableware items and the materials used a big advantage but not essential
• Familiar with 2D software (Illustrator & Photoshop), and 3D software (possession of Solidworks concept a definite plus)
• Apply & develop creative concepts and approach via research, brainstorming, sketching, 2D drawing, Photoshop rendering and 3D CAD models
• Knowledge in Graphic design would be an advantage
• Able to present and discuss concepts and products to different management levels
• Fluent in both spoken and written English & Chinese, ability to speak Cantonese is a plus. 
• Occasional travel to HK 
• Understanding of European/American design taste an advantage
