Job Description

• To write clean, modular and testable code with consistent code style
• Developing new user-facing features using NodeJS 
• Integrate with third party APIs as and when needed
• Be independent-minded & vocal on value-add vs cost of implementation of user experience enhancements & features
• Contributing to the engineering culture at our new team, sharing your knowledge and ideas with others, and being open to working in different ways
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years and above with relevant professional experiences
• Thorough understanding of JavaScript and its core principles
• Experience developing high traffic backend systems using NodeJS and developing horizontally scaled applications
• Experience working with containerised applications using Docker
• Comfortable with managing AWS managed services (eg. AWS CloudFront, EKS). You are not required to know the ones that we are using, but you need to be familiar with the AWS environment and products
• Familiar with relational & non-relational databases, and data structures in general
• Familiar with concepts such as MVC, OOP etc.
• Comfortable with rapid development cycles and tight schedules
