• Provide significant programming contributions in your specialist area to each project and be the benchmark for others to aspire to particularly modelling quality code that is maintainable, extensible and scalable. 
• “Own the Full Stack” and serve as the escalation point for technical assistance for programming staff.
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide suggestions and feedback. 
• Determine the best solution based on the use cases and and details provided by customers.
• Assist in scoping and costing of client project and managing internal and client expectations.
• Grow and mentor the existing team to meet company strategic goals for smooth software development life cycle.
  7. Drive towards automation of current DevOps around client VM’s and internal VM’s.
• Collaborate with exec team to set technical direction to achieve economies and competitive advantage by leveraging NoOps, API’s and PaaS in Google Cloud Platform.
• Collaborate with exec team to attain operational maturity in the software development process and maximise the use of automation and tools by identifying blockages/weaknesses and improving procedures.

Job Requirements

• Strong coding skills and proficiency in object oriented programming with ability to simplify and maximise efficiency as is expected for this Lead role.
• Good understanding of cloud computing and SaaS.
• An understanding of UI design principles.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and prioritise. 
• Proficiency in English.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor.
• Customer-oriented and cool-tempered to identify client objectives and specifications, with good time management skills.
• Qualifications in Computer Science or relevant field.
• PHP/Node.js experience and/or Data engineering experience with MySQL/MongoDB or similar technologies.
• OO Language particularly Python/Java experience.
• Javascript/PWA/DOM exposure and experience and knowledge of frameworks such as Angular or Vue highly regarded.
• Strong grasp  of Agile software development with working knowledge of Scrum/Kanban methodologies with experience with Jira or similar tools.
• VCS Delivery experience with Bitbucket or similar tools for repository management and version control.
• DevOps experience in LAMP stack and/or WAMP stacks essential. 
• Webhooks/REST API methods experience within frameworks and libraries such as Django.
• Good working knowledge of security and authentication/certificates and use of system accounts.
