Job Description

• Get “tech” in order: help answer fundamentals of technology blocks to be used, choice of certain platform/tech over other options, helping team visualize product with available resources and assets.
• Help build, manage, and validate a Tech Roadmap for the product offering. As company engages its commercial partners and acquires users and customers, the product may need changes to required feature sets and market
  needs.
• Making sure best practices for the technology architecture are defined and followed by the team. Review code/pull requests to ensure a consistent Code Quality to avoid significant “technical debt” as the company scales.
• Initially, hands-on coding of back-end and server layer
• Manage a team of currently 5 engineers with 2-3 more being recruited

Job Requirements

• Have at least 8 years and above of relevant industry experience.
• Have prior full-stack development experience 
• You can communicate effectively with internal and external team members 
• Should either be familiar with Elixir (even if not an expert), in order to properly assess the current build, to decide whether we continue to build on the existing technology stack, or make a strategic decision to rebuild
• The candidate must be a hands-on with writing code.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services is key
• Experience with chat is key
• Some experience with machine learning systems is preferred
• Experience recruiting and managing teams, running agile sprint process is essential
