About The Job

Accounting support
  • General ledger control accounts are correct and verified at month end.
  • Bank accounts are reconciled at all times.
  • All suspense accounts are reconciled and cleared monthly.
  • Financial transactions are checked and correctly recorded in the General Ledger.
  • Timely financial reports are prepared for departmental managers.
  • Cash transactions are check and verified.
  • Monthly journals are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Statistical returns and benchmarking reports are provided as necessary.
  • Prepare and/or assist in preparation of journals, including prepayments and accrual, etc.
  • Maintaining vendors master records up to date and comply to AP policy standard.
  • Maintaining records of invoices (include monitoring Goods Receipts/Delivery note & matching relative customs/tax documents), preparing payments and transactions, petty cash and/or process cheques, and keep filing and invoice monitoring systems up to date.
  • Controlling credit & ensuring debtors pay on time, cheques received are deposit to bank promptly.
  • Bank reconciliation of transactions with the corresponding records in General Ledger.
  • Generate monthly statement of accounts, dunning letters and dispatch to debtors in a timely manner.
  • All asset additions/scrap are correctly recorded. The fixed asset register reconciles with the corresponding financial records in General Ledger.

  • Assist the Finance Manager &/or Assistant Finance Manager with all general accounting functions, as necessary.
  • Assist to ensure all assets &/or properties have an appropriate level of insurance cover. Insurance claims are processed in a timely manner.
  • Run errand to bank and other places as and when required.
  • Ensure all documents are file properly and up to date from time to time.
  • Ensure all the transactions and reports are completed at the stipulated cut-off date.
  • Act as a backup on the daily routine during the absence of your team-mate.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and ERP.
  • Practical experience in general accounting roles.
  • Good analysis and problem solving skills.
  • GOOD TO HAVE: 2 years and above of experience in AP and AR.
  • GOOD TO HAVE: Experience working in a manufacturing industry.
