About The Job

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Strategic Counsel/Creative Inputs 
  • Develop communications strategies and programmes to help clients achieve their objectives.
  • Offer timely strategic counsel and advice to clients on all aspects of communications.
  • Proactively identify existing and emerging issues and devise solutions to manage these issues successfully.
  • Conduct periodic strategic communications programme reviews for clients. 
  • Prepare communications programme or project evaluation reports at appropriate intervals and recommend changes or adjustments accordingly.
  • Develop crisis management skills to help clients manage crisis.
  • Assist in media training of clients.
  • Develop and build media relationships.
2. Account Management 
  • Provide accurate budget estimates using the H+K Estimator for projects and retainer accounts.
  • Manage and track all client budgets to prevent over-servicing. 
  • Proactively alert relevant account director to emerging budget or client issues and problems.
  • Manage, coach and train junior or new members in the project team.Play mentor to newcomers. 
  • Ensure that all outputs by team members meet Hill & Knowlton standards, client requirements and deadlines.
  • Day-to-day liaison with clients.
  • Develop and build client relationships.

3. Business Development 
  • Provide business development leads. 
  • Identify and develop expansion of business with existing clients.
  • Focal point for business development proposals and pitches.
4. Self-Management / Miscellaneous 
  • Looks at conduct, presentation, drive, motivation etc.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Master’s degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Economics, Marketing, Journalism, Mass Communications or equivalent.
  • Proven track record in leading client servicing teams and overseeing multiple client accounts.
  • Suitable candidate will have had proven and successful experience in planning and managing multiple PR projects under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate complex PR plans and strategies and in successfully executing them. The Account Manager will also demonstrate skill and genuine interest in research and analysis of current PR trends that will keep the business at par with competing businesses in the market.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in agency environment preferred, with at least 1 year at Senior Account Executive level at the time of application.
  • This is a Full-Time position.
