Job Description

To be responsible for the overall management and technical operations.
To oversee the daily operations of maintenance and repair, on board general assessment of vessel, inspections and docking.
To ensure the assigned vessels are technically operational.
To identify and source for technical and operational supplies required for the vessels.
To undertake any technical related as and when required.
To perform other related job assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering with minimum 2 years relevant working experience.
Possess relevant sea-going work experience as Chief Engineer/Marine Engineer.
Knowledge in International Safety Management (ISM) & The International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Codes and International Shipping Regulations will be an added advantage.
Possess valid ‘D’ driving license.
Good communication skills and hands-on.
Independent and able to work under pressure.

In the 1980s & 90s, when major petrochemical projects such as Malaysia Liquefied Natural Gas (MLNG), ASEAN Bintulu Fertiliser (ABF), and Shell MDS (Middle Distillate Synthesis) began to establish their plants here as well as the mushrooming of timber related industries within the region, Harbour-Link Group was established to provide logistics services for these projects.
