CALLING ALL MOVIE-LOVING COMPUTER GEEKS! HELP MALAYSIA GO TO THE MOVIES - WORK WITH THE LATEST DIGITAL PROJECTION, 3D AND AUDIO EQUIPMENT INCLUDING DOLBY 'ATMOS'
APPLICATIONS ARE ESPECIALLY INVITED FROM EXPERIENCED DIGITAL CINEMA ENGINEERS WHO WISH TO ADVANCE THEIR CAREER. ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE TREATED IN STRICT CONFIDENCE, SALARY COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE.
Cinema equipment is a specialized field and training will be given. After training and as a member of our team the candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of digital cinema projection and audio equipment at cinema locations throughout peninsular and East Malaysia.
As the name implies, digital cinema is a software-based system so knowledge of and experience with computers, software, networks etc. is essential. Basic electrical knowledge also required.
Job Requirements
Please read the job requirements carefully. Note especially that evening and week-end work will be required from time to time, along with extensive travel in both peninsular and East Malaysia. This is NOT a desk-bound job. Preference will be given to candidates with field engineer and IT experience.
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology / Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- SPM or Vocational School qualifications are also welcomed, with background of Computing or Electrical Studies
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the IT/electronics field is required for this position.
- Must speak and write fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia. Other languages an advantage.
- Must have full driving licence for motor vehicles. Own car an advantage.
- Must be prepared to work some evenings, weekends and public holidays. This is NOT a 9-5 job! Overtime will be paid as appropriate
- Must be prepared to travel throughout peninsula and east Malaysia (expenses paid). This is NOT a desk-bound job!
- Experience of audio engineering would be an advantage
- Free health and accident insurance after qualifying period, laptop and smart phone provided for business use.
- Preference will be given to field engineers used to often working away from home
- Experience with Linux would be an advantage.
- Must be resident in Kuala Lumpur/Selangor
