Job Description
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for coordinating event concepts and marketing details with the Event Manager including event-related marketing, illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of digital & print backdrops, exhibitions, marketing materials, set fabrications and more.
Candidate must have graphics skills and a working familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere. Candidate will also be detail oriented, a self-starter, social media savvy, a creative thinker, a team player, and a strong communicator.
As part of the events team, you will be required to support onsite event operations during event day(s). Long hours may occur during peak period (i.e. when events are approaching and during event day(s)).
Responsibilities
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
- Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
- Work with event manager to produce final design
- Test graphics across various media
- Amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
